Through training and facilitation of workshops, conferences, discussion groups and victim forums, I help to create a space for participants to explore diverse and controversial themes on victimhood, survivor engagement, transitional justice, accountability, complementarity and rights. I rely on both technical and practical knowledge and relationships to facilitate learning about how to advance the victim rights agenda and to tackle difficult questions such as the utility of victim participation in criminal justice processes; reparations and non-exploitative engagement with survivor communities.
Let's Take Action Together
I advocate for victims to be involved in and lead change processes on their own behalf so that outcomes meet their needs.
Victims of gross human rights violations are demanding justice, accountability and reparations at national and international levels. Many have waited for decades for the atrocities committed against them to be adjudicated. I support clients to better understand how victim rights can be addressed in judicial and non-judicial contexts and to establish effective strategies, policies and services for survivor communities.
